Demijohn Commission
I had a ton of fun painting this and I am super proud of how it turned out!
Someone messaged me about creating a going away gift for her friend. She provided photos of adventures they had been on. We collaborated on a design that included her friend’s favorite things. Once the idea was finalized I transferred all of the images onto the demijohn and began painting. I shared progress photos along the way so she could make changes as needed. When the painting was completed and approved I baked the demijohn in my oven to set the paint. Once it cooled down I packed it up and delivered it to her. She was happy with the completed painting and said it was exactly what she was looking for.
Painting on glass takes lots of patience. You have to layer the paint thinly and you cannot work in 1 area too much or it starts to lift off the layers underneath. Totally different than painting on canvas or paper!
