Courage. My word for 2022 was courage. Courage to share my work. Courage to speak my truth. Courage to go on adventures. Courage to know when to say yes. Courage to know when to walk away.

When I pick a word for the year I mull over different words until one feels right. In the past my words have been Magic, Love, Flexible. A friend recently shared that her word for 2023 is Independence. For 2023, the word that I keep coming back to is Joy.

What brings me joy? Find joy. Choose joy. Joy in the process. Joy in the everyday small moments: Warm cups of tea. Delicious food. Time with my family. Trips to the beach. Hiking in the mountains. Traveling. Teaching. Creating. 2023 will be infused with things that bring me joy.

Do you have any end of year traditions? Do you set resolutions? Create goals? Do you have a word for 2023? I would love to hear more about your end of year traditions and what you are bringing into 2023.

Until next time,

Melinda
